It has always ran beautifully and has had many of the suspension, electrical, and cooling problems covered on this site. It has been otherwise reliable and an awesome car to drivefor my wife. "Steptronic", as I'm sure most here know, is BMW's trade name for the automatics, irrespective of who makes them (ZF, Getrag or GM). BMW provides the software and controls for all these automatics.
